About Me

I have more than twenty-two years of marketing experience in healthcare and financial services. For the last fifteen years, I’ve led strategy for product marketing, marketing technology, research, and analytics for Vizient, the nation’s largest member-owned healthcare services company. My mission is to enable our marketing function to deliver data-driven insights, strategies, and campaigns that drive business success and customer satisfaction.

As a creative, intelligent, and assertive leader, I have developed and implemented a research and analytics service that simplifies and enhances our marketing operations. I have also launched products and brands, optimized demand generation processes, and exceeded sales targets of $253M. I leverage my master’s degree in data science and my MBA in marketing to translate concepts into action and bring clarity to complex projects.

Vice President, Marketing Technology, Analytics, Research and Operations

I serve as the marketing technology and analytics lead for Vizient’s marketing function. I developed and have implemented a research and analytics service and made it easier for our marketers to market. I lead a team of 20+ and have $16M in budget responsibility.

Associate Vice President, Solution and Product Marketing

In this role, I led the launch of products and brands. I also created demand-generating marketing campaigns and made sure the campaigns were successful. Finally, I helped our marketing stakeholders to understand how well their campaigns were working and helped them reach their commercial goals.

Vizient, Senior Director of Supply Chain Solutions Marketing

Led a team of 13 marketing professionals as we build brand, generate demand, position products and enable sales for the nation’s largest member-owned health care services company

  • Serve as the marketing subject-matter expert for multiple internal business stakeholders and maintain accountability for designing, optimizing and executing marketing strategies to ensure business success
  • Drove marketing-qualified opportunity volume to exceed sales targets of $253 million
  • Supported the development and implementation of an enterprise-wide segmentation model to refine campaign targeting efforts
  • Optimized marketing campaigns that drove more than 1,000 marketing qualified opportunities for sales team pursuit
  • Designed, implemented and optimized demand generation process from campaign execution to sales acceptance

  • Marketing responsibility for supply chain solutions that generated more than $20 million in bookings
  • Architect of go-to-market strategy to crystalize market understanding of VHA’s supply chain capabilities and drive $22 million in 2015 bookings
  • Achieved an 8:1 return-on-investment on nationwide, multimedia marketing campaign
  • Recognized as top 1 percent performer, through appointment to leadership development program

Children’s Eye Foundation, Executive Director (9/2008 – 4/2013)

National organization dedicated to eliminating preventable blindness in children

  • Designed, developed and launched multi-county public health program focused on children’s vision health
  • Created sales curriculum that trained 156 medical professionals on high quality vision screening techniques that resulted in more than 40,000 children receiving a vision screening
  • Designed and implemented area-wide sales and marketing process for vision screening devices
  • Managed a comprehensive lifecycle marketing plan to recruit physician participants and raise awareness about children’s vision disorders
  • Executed care coordination process that ensures children with vision problems receive the care they need
  • Leveraged contemporary marketing vehicles to inform someone about vision health every 95 seconds during 2011
  • Developed award-winning program, ‘little ambassadors’ to give a face to pediatric ophthalmology
  • Identified need for a tool to support patching for amblyopia; developed and launched Amblyopia Patching Kit
  • Increased year-over-year donations in a down economy by more than double
  • Tripled contact database in less than one year

Vizient (Novation), Portfolio Marketing Manager (8/2006 – 1/2011)

The leading health care supply chain services company

  • Initiated and managed concurrent marketing campaigns with a number of large health care suppliers, including: Cardinal Health, Kimberly-Clark, Medline, Bausch and Lomb, and GE
  • Marketed over $200 million in capital equipment to hundreds of hospitals through Group Buy offering
  • Developed framework for and implementation of Novation’s focus on price management, which resulted in $143 million in reduced cost for hospitals
  • Managed the marketing for agreements that generated more than $45 million in revenue for the Medical, Surgical, Facilities, Laboratory and Non-acute contracting portfolios
  • Shaped industry policy through a Unique Device Identification presentation to the FDA, which ultimately led the FDA to pass legislation that affects all providers and manufacturers

Relevant Projects

Detection of Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA): An Analytics Approach

  • Created algorithm to score patient risk for contraction of MRSA
  • Demonstrated a cost-effective mechanism for combating this expensive problem for hospitals

  • Vizient Diversity Ambassador – Selected as departmental representative to ensure diversity is represented in our people and business practices
  • Lecturer at Dallas Center for Nonprofit Management – Taught nonprofit organizations how to market and communicate through contemporary marketing efforts like Google AdWords

  • Vision Screening Committee of AAPOS – Guided policy related to vision screening for pediatric ophthalmology and pediatrics
